This protocol allows Internet users to secure their online accounts through blockchain two-factor authentication.

The blockchain industry is growing rapidly – and this means that it is critical for key protocols to keep up with the latest innovations to keep up with customer demand.

The Shield protocol was initially launched in February 2021, and its team says they are working tirelessly to provide additional usability for users – boosting its app with more services.

The project says it is providing two-factor authentication on the blockchain for the first time, meaning users will be able to back up and restore their accounts at  Binance Smart Chain, Kucoin Community Chain, Fantom Opera and Polygon.

For crypto investors, the incentive is simple: they no longer have to rely on centralized servers where they risk collecting personal data.

Agreeing to the interoperability, the Shield protocol states that it is compatible with major crypto exchanges, not to mention some of the world’s largest social networks – including Facebook and Twitter.  It is also possible to add 2FA to your Amazon account with this tool to prevent your Prime subscription from being misused by fraudsters.

Within the app, users can take advantage of a multi-chain wallet where more than 10 networks are currently supported, with more being added regularly.  This means that coins can be sent, received and stored in one place – no matter which blockchain they are based on.

The shield protocol journey has not ended here in the last 18 months, the team has also unveiled an NFT collection proudly with 1,111 ERC-721 tokens.

Known as the Shield Warrior App Gang – or SWAG for short – owners can get their hands on legendary and unique collectibles and even win prizes if they choose their NFTs.

SWAG holders have the opportunity to use the NFT to get a white list for the next collection and access tools and products across the Shield ecosystem – a passport to a world of opportunity.

Overall, the Shield protocol is far from a one-strategy pony – instead, it hopes to add value to the pipeline with more major technology updates.  The project told Cointelegraph that it plans to become a one-stop shop for all the needs of a crypto enthusiast to compete healthily with rivals in space.

Of course, the worlds of crypto and web 3 are becoming increasingly interconnected – and the Shield protocol says it’s determined to be the first mover here, too.

The project plans to create a Web3 browser that will bring the entire DApp ecosystem into its own app, adding another layer of convenience for users.

Super apps are becoming increasingly popular now, giving users everything they need in one place.

According to Shield Protocol CEO Rahul Sharma, the team plans to release more security tools this year to protect users’ personal data from unauthorized data breaches in the crypto and non-crypto worlds.  Thus, the team is focusing and researching more on existing security issues and their solutions.

And as the platform works to help crypto enthusiasts secure their online accounts using blockchain technology, it aims to reach more than four billion Internet users who need to log in to protect themselves – providing an elegant and aesthetically pleasing interface.  Easy to use.

So far, its apps on Android and iOS have been downloaded more than 60,000 times – and demand continues to grow as more and more consumers begin to embrace blockchain technology.

Shield’s core team members collectively have over 15 years of experience in blockchain, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence – and its smart contracts have been verified through security audits performed by Callisto Networks.

Dozens of milestones have been achieved in the last 12 months, and on the project’s website, users can see what’s coming next through a comprehensive and easy-to-understand checklist.

The effects of hacked Facebook accounts or compromised crypto wallets can be devastating.  But with the Shield protocol, you can increase your security through blockchain.
