Qatar Airways intends to introduce NFTs and allow the purchase of virtual world tickets for actual trips.

Qatar Airways unveiled the debut of QVerse, its first virtual world event, on Tuesday. This interactive virtual system enables parties involved to visually explore and operate the Hamad International Airport’s Premium Check-in area (HIA).

QVerse, though, is only the company’s first step into the virtual world, as per the company’s claims to Cointelegraph. The corporation stated that it hopes to develop its virtual world efforts and thinks that the virtual world will play a role in social interactions in the future.

“We think the future will be digital.” By questioning the most basic techniques that were formerly constraints, the virtual world will liberate humans, extend their perspectives, and transcend their constraints.”

The firm’s move into the virtual world mirrors its customers’ need for “available for species that can strengthen their judgement before purchasing a ticket, and are typically pleased to explore the aeroplane they will travel,” as per the company.

“As a result, we believe QVerse will transform the way customers shop,” business reps remarked.

The business also stated that it hopes to expand its virtual world platform with new features, locations, and activities to make the encounter more convivial and approachable through the Oculus Quest VR system.

It also promises to feature the buying of tangible flights home and the selection of seating on real planes via the virtual world. Moves in metaverse portals such as Decentraland and The Sandbox may be taken in the hereafter, according to the corporation.

“Right now, we’re concentrating on building our virtual world instead of Decentraland or Sandbox.” However, we do not eliminate the possibility of this approach. We’re still figuring out how to expand this sector and carefully include NFTs into QVerse.”

In conjunction with the International Air Transport Association, Qatar Airways became the first airline in the Middle East to implement the IATA Blockchain ‘Digital Passport’ the year before (IATA). The US Air Force has declared its foray into the virtual world and applied for a copyright.
